The mind is such a wonderful and powerful tool when we know how to utilise it!
I wanted to share something with you today that might clear up a bit of confusion I often get asked about – what’s the difference between meditation and hypnosis?
You already know the powerful benefits of slowing down, tuning in, and creating a calm, centred space within.
That’s meditation – a practice that brings awareness to the present moment, quiets the mind, and helps you connect with your inner self.
Hypnosis is similar in many ways – it also involves deep relaxation and focused attention – but it has a slightly different intention. While meditation is about awareness and presence, hypnosis gently guides the subconscious mind to reframe old patterns, beliefs, or habits. It’s like meditation with a goal – whether that’s to reduce emotional eating, build confidence, shift unhelpful habits or blocks, release past trauma or even alleviate pain.
The exciting part is, if you already meditate, you’re naturally more open to the benefits of hypnosis. Your mind is already used to settling, letting go, and becoming more receptive – which means you may go deeper, quicker, and see powerful changes even after just a few sessions.
